Are you here? Do I have your attention? Okay cool.
I found out today that one of my college classmates was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. It was, to say the least, a pretty serious reality check. 22 is too young to die. My brain can't fully process it.
They always told us in high school health classes that young adults think they're invincible. I always found that notion a bit ridiculous, probably because I thought I was invincible.
If you're reading this, just know that I love you. I probably don't say that enough to the people I care about, but I should. I'm ridiculously lucky to have so many incredible people in my life, and I couldn't life with myself if someone I cared about left the world without knowing that.
I know it seems naive to think saying "I love you" in a public blog post will ring with even a sliver of sincerity, but if you're reading this, I know I love you. Because nobody I didn't love would've clicked on such an unspeakably boring headline just to read what I had to say. Congratulations; you've self-sorted.
