Speaking of: "Reflection Time" When Alone

I always get a good laugh whenever I'm doing something alone and someone who sees me makes a comment along the lines of, "Well, I bet this is a great time to do some personal reflection!"

You think I only spend time alone to do some "personal reflection"? You think I don't laugh out loud when I'm by myself? You think I didn't purposely go to this concert or go on this hike by myself because I just wanted to spend a day with me? You think I'm not entertained doing exactly what I want when I want to do it?

I'll have you know I think I'm great company for myself. Sure, I spend time reflecting too, but if I'm by myself, 99% of the time it's not because I needed "personal reflection time." It's because I wanted to do this thing, and I wasn't going to not do it just because I didn't have someone else to do it with. Screw that.
