Speaking of: The Glorification of Morning People

I think we've spent way too long over-glorifying morning people as if anyone who wakes up at 5 am has a divinely-touched soul and anyone who doesn't is sub-human scum. There's just as much value in being a night owl as there is in being a morning bird.
No matter what time of day it is, I do my best work when I'm locked-in on a task, promising myself I will not stop working for the day until it is complete. Because of this, I'm much more prone to working late into the night than I am to working while there's still dew on the grass. Some of my proudest moments have come because I put that little bit of extra work into something at 1 am.
It just seems silly to romanticize a 6 am - 10 pm awake schedule when you can accomplish just as much from 8 am - 12 am or, God forbid, 9 am - 1 am. Morning people are great, but if they're great, it's usually because of their respectable work ethic, not just because they do yoga at 4:30 am every day but Wednesday.
Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise, but late to bed and late to rise makes a man, well, fine too.
