Speaking of: The Meaning of Life

A friend asked me a few weeks ago to explain the meaning of life in 25 words or less.

It was late at night and all the lights were already off in my brain, so I decided to sleep on it. I woke up the next morning, hopped in the shower, stood in the warmth for a few minutes looking for an answer, and eventually said:

“To realize nothing really matters and try anyways.”

I let it sit in the air for a second before thinking Huh. Yeah. That’s it. That feels right. That feels like life to me.
